Why store your photos at a safe, remote location?
These days a lot of people are using digital cameras and saving their treasured family photographs and memories to their computers without a thought as to what would happen if their computer were to crash or a disaster such as a fire or flood were to make the drives inaccessible.
For such reason, it is a very wise to use a remote photo storage location to make sure that your family's treasured memories are not lost forever. I have been researching recently to try to decide which one is best for me and a number of questions have arisen in my mind.
Most importantly, where do I feel most secure with my treasured visual memories? While I like the idea of free photo storage services, I really wonder what it is that is protecting me from them going out of business and letting my photos go away with them. I would prefer to be in a situation where I have provided a small payment in return so that I have the sense of safety with the contractual agreement that is thus implied.
I researched extensively looking for a company that not only appeared reliable, but also offered some additional services for which I would be in need of, such as photo scanning services, negative scanning, and photo restoration among others. I ended up selecting a company called photobin.com which offers all of these and has a pretty cool interface to top things off. One very nice feature, was that in addition to storing my digital files, they also allowed me to send all my old family photographs in a box and they were able to scan those for a very good price and store them as well. Another bonus is that they also allow you to convert your photos to photo gifts such as calendars, coffee mugs, etc..
To me, this is a definitely something that is worth going with a reliable company and I believe I have found one in Photobin.
